The Maternal Resilience Project grew from a season of motherhood that required far more strength, advocacy, and resilience than I ever expected. After experiencing postpartum psychosis, I found myself trying to understand a serious maternal mental-health crisis while also caring for my child and navigating deeply difficult circumstances in my personal life.
Finding appropriate information and support was not simple. Resources were often scattered across different organizations, websites, providers, and communities. Even when help existed, knowing where to begin, who to trust, or which option applied to my situation felt overwhelming.
As I worked to rebuild stability for myself and my family, I began to recognize how many other mothers were likely facing similar barriers in silence. Some were navigating postpartum mental-health challenges. Others were coping with isolation, relationship trauma, financial strain, limited community support, or the everyday pressure of trying to hold everything together.
I created The Maternal Resilience Project from that understanding. My purpose is not to suggest that every mother’s experience is the same, but to make practical support easier to locate, understand, and use. What began as my search for answers is becoming a growing collection of resources, services, and tools designed to help other mothers feel less alone while finding their next step.
What Guides the Project
Every resource, service, and tool is shaped by three guiding commitments.
Practical Support
Resources and tools should be useful, understandable, and easier to act on.
Care Without Judgment
Every mother deserves to be met with dignity, compassion, and respect.
Community Connection
Families are stronger when they can find people, services, and local support.
